Going Lower In Photography

Literally

Let's assume that you are looking at a photograph. And let's assume that you liked it. Or even, loved it! However, when will you say - "wow!"? I guess, the answer could be that when you will get involved with that photo, then that wow factor will kick in.

Now, looking at this photo, does it feel that you are in it? Or, you are sitting there, on the cobblestone floor, may be cross-legged, and looking at the dog, while the background stretches a bit further, and the dog is enjoying your company?

if it does feel that way, have you thought why is that?

gathering of tourists at north Goa beach at sunset

Isn't this a frame of a beautiful beach at sunset? However, looking at it, you are probably not inside the photo, that's probably not the feeling you are getting! If that's the case, it's because it was not taken not from low enough, while the following frame was captured in such way.

Do you see, what I mean?

If you want to show people the POV, you have to crouch down, or even lie on your belly sometimes, to get the frame in a way which will make your spectators go "WOW!"

Do try. 😀
